LITTLE LION MAN made the perfect start to his career with a stylish win for the new 'Triple Crown Partnership' at Leicester this afternoon. In the Enderby Median Auction Maiden Stakes over 5f with only 3 other runners the Kyllachy colt made a slow start but travelled nicely, tracking the leaders. Jockey Martin Dwyer asked him to quicken a furlong from home and got an immediate response that took him to the front and he won comfortably by 2 1/4 lengths. Trainer Peter Chapple-Hyam was pleased and commented afterwards ' as there were only 4 runners it is hard to tell how good the race was, but he couldn't have done it any better. He is a nice horse and will improve for that.' |
