Kiyari ran another fine race to finish 2nd in the Cheddar Pink Claiming Race for 3 yo's only over 1m 2f at Lingfield on Tuesday. Starting favourite for the race, she broke well and was settled mid division on the rail by Jimmy Quinn. She travelled well throughout, but due to traffic problems was forced wide to make her effort on the final turn. She responded well and ranged upsides the leaders in what seemed like just a few strides. However the eventual winner, Supernoverre, had a slightly better passage through on the rails and brave Kiyari although staying on strongly, just couldn't peg him back and she finished only 1/2 length back in 2nd. With slightly better luck in running at the crucial stage of the race she might have won, but nonetheless another sound performance from the tough little filly.
