15th May 2009

Electric Feel won in style on her racecourse debut in a competitive 2yo fillies maiden over 6f at Newmarket on Friday 15th May, ridden by stable apprentice jockey, Andrea Atzeni. Slow to break, she found herself at the rear of the field and although she ran a little green throughout, Andrea held her together and produced her with her run from the 2 furlong pole. She responded well, and despite edging right in the final furlong she ran on strongly, winning cosily by 3/4's of a length to record her trainer Marco Botti's first juvenile win of the season. It was also a notable success for owner Joey Barton, his first runner and winner with Global Equine Group.
