| On unfavourable ground, Electric Feel again showed her quality in a competitive field to finish 3rd in the Empress Stakes (Listed) at Newmarket today. Drawn wide in the middle of the track, Electric Feel was hampered early on in a physical first 2 furlongs, with horses jostling for position on the loose ground. Sitting in mid-division going into the final 2 furlongs, the leaders made a break, but Electric Feel had to wait until a gap opened up to show her turn of foot, but then ran the leaders down in the final furlong, finishing less than a length behind the winner. Her explosive acceleration and strong finishing indicate that there is much more to come from this talented filly. |
