Crying Lightening put up an eye catching performance on her racecourse debut against other fancied and more experienced fillies, to land the EBF Forest Maiden Fillies Stakes over 5f at Leicester today.

With Martin Dwyer in the saddle and after a slow break, she raced nicely in mid division, making steady headway from halfway. She quickened smartly past the leaders to win cosily at the line by 1/2 length.
